Based in Southern California since 2013, Skylar Wilson works primarily in the surf industry as a filmer, photographer, and editor. When she’s not shooting for companies such as Catch Surf, she is on the road photographing nature and the world that surrounds us. Always on the hunt for the next adventure, she often finds herself traveling for work; ending up anywhere from the rocky coastline of the UK to the sandy shores of Nicaragua.
Skylar spent much of 2022 taking her movie, ‘Easy Slider’ on tour throughout Europe, the domestic US, and Hawaii. The creative bug always nipping at her heels, she is already in the process of shooting her next personal project, a documentary focusing on the up and coming generation of skimboarders in Laguna Beach, CA.
Post graduation, Skylar put in several years on film sets in Los Angeles, but has since shifted her focus towards the surf industry. Her background in filmmaking paired with a love of the ocean is evident in her work.
